Customer Question

have a personal pace toro lawn mower gts.
It is not hard to push. I don't think the self propelling feature is working.
It is 15 years old. I have not change the oil in a while but I did change the blades a few years ago. Do you know how I can determine why it is now hard to push?

Model number?

Transmission is driven by the drive belt, and the transmission cable has to engage the transmission when cable is pulled. If the transmission is working, the outer wheel gears or the wheels themselves with the inner gear can be damaged. Just need to check each section to see where the loss of drive is!

The part number is; 50-state 20332
If the tranmission is not working, do you think it is worth getting fixed. It is had to push right now. I am trying to decide if i need a new one.

Here is link to parts site, showing a transmission for $61.00. But the belt needs to be tight enough to turn the transmission pulley. It would be your choice, but yours is built better than the newer models!
