Dixon ZTR 30 on starting pto is engaged blade is turning ( lever is disengaged ) installed new switch but it makes no difference. Machine ran perfect until this problem

hey mike. your spinning the blades because your electric clutch isn't disengaged from the engine. (clutch has failed)or the belt has slipped off and up on the electric clutchcheck it out and let me know what you find

Thanks for the answer but looking underneath engine both belts are in place and upper belt is tight. Where is clutch located? Engine is not supposed to start if blades are engaged but does. How to check clutch?

the electric clutch is attached to the engine shaft. best way to check is to turn the deck belts with the engine off. if the engine rotates while turning the belt you will know you have a mechanical failure of the electric clutch
