I have a John Deere LlT 155 Lawn tractor twin touch

Customer Question

I have a John Deere LlT 155 Lawn tractor twin touch automatic. The tractor stopped moving forward. When I depressed the 'forward' pedal nothing happened. The pedal seems to have lost the spring I.e. it remains depressed. The reverse pedal does not function either. When I push down on the pedal there is a a hissing sound like air escaping. The motor and mower functions are fine.

Will tractor roll in freewheel? Is the top pulley and fan on top of the transmission turning when the engine is on? It should be spinning, viewed from under the fender.

Most drive problems with no response from the pedal, is the belt off or broken.
