# ***** is the latch, can you get at it and see if you can get it to release with screwdriver and prying?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Release is loose and does not stay up or down. I pressed hard on the brake pedal but it will not release. How difficult is it to get to the connections?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.
Brake rod runs directly to the top brake lever on the top of the transmission but the brake is internal.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
So how'd ought to the brake? Literally remove the cover behind the battery and in front of the steering wheel? Not an easy fix?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.
I would be working at the transmission end, remove the linkage and tap on the brake shaft.

I see a 2nd question, reply here. You either remove the upper fender deck, or you drop the transmission down from the frame.
