My grandson has a Troy Bilt 4 cycle trimmer, it was taken

Customer Question

my grandson has a Troy Bilt 4 cycle trimmer, it was taken apart because of an internal chatter. After resetting the valve gaps, it seems as if the timing is way off. Can you help me and explain how to re-time this engine.?

Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to Just Answer. Here is a copy of the instructions on checking the valve clearance . You may have not adjusted them on the right stroke the first time , but this should walk you through it
