Remove the spark plug and put a teaspoon of fuel into the spark plug hole, re-install the spark plug and see if it will start?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I tried it twice and it still did not work.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 7 months ago.
Did it start for a few seconds? Or nothing? Did you check for spark when you had the plug out?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
It did not do anything - no start, no turn over - nothing. Not sure what you mean by check for spark, but the plug is new.

Electric start and the engine does not spin with starter?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No - it's the pull cord start. I hold the handle and pull the cord.

Can you remove the spark plug, and with it attached to the spark plug wire, and the metal thread touching the metal of the engine, pull rope and watch for spark at the plug tip?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
The plug is in the front - hard to see. Added gas in plug hole and it did kick over once and went back to no response. Just got home from work

So fuel is not going through the carburetor. Can you drain the float bowl and see if it may have water or debris in it?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Sorry - don't know what float bowl is or how to drain it
