Customer Question

I have a 54in Huskee(from TSC) with either a 22 or a 23 hp.
While mowing today, it just quit. I have a brand new battery. I replaced the starter a couple of months ago.
There is no fire to anything; lights, etc. It was just like I shut it off.
Do you know what could be causing this?
Thanks,
***** *****

Did you get the model # & serial # ***** sent also?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Could it be the solenoid?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 7 months ago.
First locate the ignition fuse and see if it could be blown. Will be near the starter solenoid and battery. Do you have a voltmeter to check the battery voltage? Was there any other indicator before engine died, like the pto quit?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Everything shut down at once.
There is 10 amp fuse by the firewall; is that the correct fuse? It is the only one I seen.
Do you check the battery from the battery terminals?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 7 months ago.
Is 10 amp fuse good? Does it have voltage on both sides of fuse holder? Yes, check battery across the two terminals.

Let me go check it, It is out in the field

OK!

It looks like I should have had my glasses on the 1st time I checked the fuse. Replaced it and off and running again
Thanks,
Tom
