I have a 18 horse 42" deck craftsman riding mower with auto

Customer Question

I have a 18 horse 42" deck craftsman riding mower with auto transmission, I bought it in April of 04. It worked fine when I put it up for the winter but since I started to use it this season, when I put it in forward it zerks pretty bad and when I go down a small grade it free wheels and then grabs to take hold. Going into reverse it is fine?????Got any Ideas??

Hello James. My name is***** will be happy to assist you. Check your transmission drive belt to see if it is worn, loose, or slightly slipping. Many times, a worn drive belt can cause this problem. You and I can continue from here. Thanks!
