Hello, are you squeezing the trigger as you pull the rope?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I don't understand the question. What trigger? I'm simply trying to pull the cord.

Do you have the water hooked up to it?
Expert:  Vince O. replied 7 months ago.
You aren't trying to start it?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No water hooked up to it. Not trying to start it. Just trying to pull the rope to see if it works.

When the plug was out and you pulled the rope did any gas or oil blow out the plug hole?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No…The rope does not pull. It does pull when the plug is removed. Weird...

I had a problem once with an overhead valve engine. It was a new unit too. What I found was one of the rocker arm were off and the valve wasn't opening
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
What do you suggest? Plug out, engine turns. Plug in, engine doesn't turn.
Expert:  Vince O. replied 7 months ago.
If unit is new and just out of the box contact place of purchase before taking things apart possibly voiding your warranty. If no help from them remove valve cover and plug and make sure both vales open

Guess I will take it back and get another one.
