Customer Question

I have an automatic transfer propane powered generator. The last time the power went off it didn't start. I can hear the starter solenoid click when it get the signal to start but it looses power in a slit second. Is the gas shutoff valve causing this problem?

No, the gas valve will not cause this. What you are describing is the result of low battery voltage getting to the solenoid. You either have bad battery cable connections, a weak battery, or possibly a bad start contactor.
