Small Engine Troubleshooting Problems? Ask a Mechanic Now.
Hello, and thank you for choosing Just Answer. My name is***** will be happy to assist you. It seem that your carburetor is starving for fuel at higher rpms. You very likely have a partially clogged jet, or fuel passage in the body of your carburetor, or your fuel shut off solenoid could be partially opening.
You may consider removing your fuel/float bowl, and checking it for sediments. Giving your carburetor a really good cleaning should resolve our problem.
Thanks for your reply. Instead, I would try a fuel additive called Mechanic In A Bottle. It is designed to clean your carburetor, without you having to remove it.
I will post some details for you.
