the cylinder that is not firing is it hot to touch

I suggest you do a compression test on the faulty cylinder

sounds as you make have a broke or stuck rings

I also forgot to mention

pull the valve cover on that cylinder

they are common to lose or brake a push rod

valve lash is .005 both valves cold engine
