The charging coil is under the flywheel and has nothing to do with the starter solenoid!

See the # ***** and # ***** That would be the charging coil. Need the full engine model number to find your's. There will be number / letters after the GVX390-?????????

OK> but you get the idea, these wires come from under the flywheel and with engine running, you can test these two wires for voltage, they should have over battery voltage, and are what has to go to battery posiitve, to charge the battery when running.
