Customer Question

I removed the carbarater and cleaned it with great deal of attention. This was replaced and still acts as it before. I noticed some gas leaking from the bottom of the gas inlet.. It looks like the plastic angle inlet is not able to be tightened. It turns freeley

The inlet is a pressed in part and if it leaks, needs to be replaced with a new fitting. It does not tighten up!

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

What was the original problem.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
engine will not run. I can add gas to the carbarater. It then will start but just stops when fuel is diapated

Is gas getting to the carburetor? If you loosen the fule bowl is there gas present? The needle valve passage is where fule comes through. Was it an all metal needle or a rubber tipped needle?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

I guess there is gas or the fuel would not leak!

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
It acts like it is not getting fuel. It is dripping ou of the inlet
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Type of needle?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I am not sure about the needle valve
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

I thought you cleaned the carburetor parts.??

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Did you remove the float and needle valve?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I toke the carb off and sprayed it with carb cleaner. wiped and brushed everything down. Then i used more cleaner and flushed it out
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

It is the inside of the carburetor that needs to be cleaned, here is a basic link showing disassembly.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
no I did not. would it be better to puchase a new carb? Could be an easy fix
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

With it already having external leak, that might be the best way to go.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

To get right carb you will need the long model number of the engine. Example(###) ###-####B1

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
can you hook me up for the buy?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Get me the correct model number and I can.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Can you find model number? Intex 206 is series, not exact model.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I am not sure where the numbers are located
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Should have a tag on the engine, or stamped into the metal of the engine, near spark plug.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Close, but not what I need. Family number does not help. Look on same tag or near it, for Model number. It will be example (###) ###-####E1 , six numbers, followed by four numbers and a letter number. The first six numbers can have a letter , like 23A456.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I am going to try to get a photo of the tag. It is in a very diffacult spot. It is behind the beam for the wedge
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.
