Will cart roll free? Or could the brakes be locked?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 9 months ago.

Do yu have a voltmeter to test with? 36 volt cart? Do all batteries test around 6.3 volts?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 9 months ago.

To test solenoid, use a jumper and jump the two large cable terminals and see if cart runs.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
It will roll an inch or 2 then stop, sometimes a little further, the last time we checked the batteries, they were all about 5.5
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Can you explain a little more about using a jumper to test the solenoid?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 9 months ago.

Solenoid has two large terminals. When solenoid closes, this connection is made. You want to make this connection with jumper.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
OK, will try. If it does not run, then we should replace the solenoid?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 9 months ago.

NO. if it runs, then need to see if the solenoid is getting voltage to close it! If it does not run, it is not solenoid!

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
OK, thank you for your help. we will try all of this.
