Small Engine Troubleshooting Problems? Ask a Mechanic Now.
Hello, and thank you for choosing Just Answer. My name is***** will be happy to assist you. Many times when this problem occurs, it is due either a clogged jet, or clogged fuel passage inside your carburetor. Did you leave gas inside your fuel tank over the summer months?
I believe your carburetor is partially clogged, and will need to be cleaned.
I would like to explain something about old fuel ...
Gas will began to turn stale within thirty days, from date of purchase. Stale fuel will turn to gum and varnish, then eventually clog the small jets, and fuel passages inside your carburetor.
