Customer Question

Engine won't start after following all procedures. The primer bulb seems to be moving mostly air rather than a stream of fuel.

If primer is pumping air, there is a suction leak in it's circuit. Do you have fuel to the carburetor, from the tank?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Was fuel treated before unit was stored?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Float and needle valve in carburetor may be stuck!

fuel not treated before stored. Not sure whether I have fuel to carb from tank.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

You would have to remove the line from tank , at the carburetor and check. Or loosen the bowl bolt on the carburetor.

I was told to "bounce" the snowblower to try to unstick the needle. Would not start
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Bouncing will not free up stuck needle.

Ok. This looks beyond my comfort level. I'll have to check with a local mechanic.
