Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to Just Answer , can you tell where it's leaking from on the differential , if it's s Crack or the housing bolts could be loose ?

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 11 months ago.

There are 2 oil seals they are part numbers k 5:1:2 which is a oil seal on both sides of the auger and part 11 which is the oil seal from the impeller shaft . Here is the diagram

It sounds like oart 11 is your leak , it's a oil seal

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I tried all those and that's not it
Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 11 months ago.

Is part 16 the retaining ring still intact ?

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 11 months ago.

The only oil seal to the rear where the drive shaft from the impeller enters in to the auger gear box is part 11. , does it look like it's leaking around the shaft ?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
To complicated I will bring to authorized dealer thanks
Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 11 months ago.

Ok , part 11 is most likely the leak , to remove it you hake to pull the auger out , there's bolts on the sides and I can look to see where the impeller disconnects but most times the whole assembly has to come out completely .

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
As I said to complicated I will bring to dealer
Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 11 months ago.

Ok , I wish there was a easier way to fix it but in most cases the auger and impeller have to come out which means the whole auger housing is unbolted etc

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I will take to dealer
