I have a Deer Snow Blower with a 10 hp Tecumseh engine

Customer Question

I have a John Deer Snow Blower with a 10 hp Tecumseh engine (1986) which starts well & idles well but when I slide the throttle forward it doesn,t speed up. I can move the large wire forward by hand & it speeds up fine. I need pictures of what should be where of the carb both at idle & high speed.

Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to Just Answer I will get you some diagrams of the carb linkages but it sounds like the spring on the throttle control itself could of came loose or broken . Did it just start this out of the blue or was the carburetor removed prior to this happening ?
