I have a Briggs and Stratton 12KW standby generator, runs on

Customer Question

I have a Briggs and Stratton 12KW standby generator, runs on propane. In colder weather it never starts on the 1st or maybe second auto startup, but when it starts it runs fine. Just had the valves adjusted, and propane pressure tested. All looks good. It has 590 hours on it. The starting problem has been going on for about 2 years. Engine is M38445, Type 0112-E1, Code 06032811. Maybe dirty carburetor?

Have you replaced the spark plugs? Propane will not foul the plugs, but the plugs need to be changed once a year. It helps the cold start!
