Hi Hank, my name is***** have an Onan 4KY Spec E, RV Generator. I have just replaced the main control board A1.
The Engine starts perfect but won't keep running after I let go of the start switch.
I do have the Generator pulled from the Motor home with the remote switch ( inside Coach)disconnected. Do I have to connect the remote switch to keep the Generator running???

The remote switch does not have to be connected to keep the genset running.

The most common cause of your problem is that the genset is no longer producing any electricity.
