Customer Question

I have a t series lawn tractor. Starts fine. When I release the safety foot bar pedal to allow it to drive, it stalls out. What is happening and how do I fix it

HI, my name is***** will be assisting you.

This sounds like the seat safety switch is not working properly. It is not recognizing and operator present in the seat therefore it is telling the rest of the system that there is no one present in the seat and it is killing the engine upon release of the clutch pedal. I would start by checking the seat safety switch or replacing it.

Thanks John
You were right on target. The seat switch connection had come loose. All I had to do was push the connector into the switch and it was fixed. You saved me over $100 to have it picked up, and even more to have it looked at and serviced.
