Customer Question

My 20k standby generator system will no run. There are no fault codes. The battery is good and I tried a new starter and relay. Will not start on manual or exercise mode. I have voltage to the solenoid but not to the starter. You will hear a click after putting the switch in manual but then nothing happens. What is my next step?

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am going to assist you with this.

I need you to take 3 voltage measurements for me:

1. What is the voltage at the battery cable that is attached to the starter solenoid?

2. What is the voltage at the battery cable that is attached to the starter solenoid, while the switch is set to ON?

I also need the model number of the genset itself. You have provided the model number of the engine only.

Have you take the voltage readings yet?
