Customer Question

I have a x495 that blows a fuse as soon as I switch on the mower. It goes completely dead. I switch off the key, then switch it back in and there's nothing. The fuse that's blown is the bottom one of the two on the "passenger" side of the tractor. They're mounted on what looks like a small circuit board. Any idea where and why it's shorting out whenever I switch on the mower?
Thanks

On the bottom of the engine is the electric clutch

Check the two wires to it for damage.

If no damage, unplug the wires and see if fuse still blows.

If fuse does not blow, clutch may be shorted interanlly.

On this model the clutch is internal. so it has a solenoid!
