Gas or electric cart? The foot pedal has to close switch and send power to the solenoid.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Do you have power to the foot switch.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok it's a 94 ezgo electric cart has new batteries and jus changed a switch the linkage contacts when u let off the pedal but u still have to jump the solenoid from large to small post to get the cart to move

You are not getting voltage from the foot switch to the solenoid. Do you have a voltmeter to test ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I do not was also jus told it was a bad solenoid
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Sounds like voltage , not bad solenoid!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Everything works fine other than having to jump the solenoid. Has lots of power. Has all new batteries
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

If you jump from the big terminal, to the small , the solenoid is good. and you need to check the foot switch.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok where is it located?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

At the foot pedal assembly.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Their is no switch at the pedal assembly under the cart and the one under the seat has been replaced

Their is a wire from the battery pos to the silonoid then an orange wire from the silonoid to a switch that was replaced then a red one and a blue one from the same switch to this battery looking thing kinda looks like an inverter and also a wire from the other large terminal on the silonoid to the inverter looking thing.

You have to get a voltmeter, less than $10.00 at auto or retail store!
