I have a 27 ton troy-bilt log splitter and it is moving slowly any ideas. Motor is running fine changed fluid and filter and had to replace the shear piece between the motor and the pump.

In hydraulics, speed is flow, your pump is not is not producing the flow required. Assuming the ram is not leaking.

I think your pump is problem and solution is replace the pump.
