i have a snapper pro zero turn. The motor boggs down when mowing straight but if zig-zag the steering the mower gets full power. What could be the problem

This sounds like you have a piece of trash in the carburetor that is getting over the jets causing a restriction, if zig-zag it will keep it from being sucked up into the jet. I would remove the bowl from the carburetor and clean it as well as the jets thoroughly to be certain that this doesn't continue to happen.
