Iam replacing a 16 hp motor with a 19hp,old motor had 1

Iam replacing a 16 hp motor with a 19hp,old motor had 1 purple wire,and a white wire and a yeiiow wire,white and yellow in same plug. New motor has 2red wires 1 black,1 gray,in one plug not getting any fire.

You say no fire, you mean no spark. Or it will not start?New engine has electric solenoid in the carburetor, is it opening?

No spark,one of the red wires just makes a loop on the plug for new motor

No spark. Locate the kill wire to the coil, and see if the wire is grounded through the keyswitch. It has to be grounded only when key is turned off.
