Hello. My name is***** will be happy to assist you.

Expert:  Donald replied 1 year ago.

If your engine will start up and only run briefly, it is very likely that your carburetor is at fault.

Expert:  Donald replied 1 year ago.

Sometimes a basic cleaning will work for you, and sometimes your carburetor will require a more detailed cleaning. A basic cleaning will consist of removing the fuel bowl from your carburetor, and inspecting it for sediments and water. Clean your fuel bowl, and the bowl nut that secures your bowl to your carburetor. If you have carburetor cleaner in a can, clean the entire underside of your carburetor.

Your bowl nut have three small holes in it. Use a small wire to clean each of these hole thoroughly. Next re-assemble and try your engine again.

Also, check to make sure you are getting a steady flow of fuel from your fuel tank, to your carburetor. We can continue from here. Thanks!
