Do you have a multimeter?

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 1 year ago.

You will need a multimeter and set it to test continuity, there will be 4 blades on the seat switch , the 2 on the left complete a circuit and the two on the right do as well. So you take the multimeter and put the red and black leads on both blades on the left and when you push the button in you should hear a beep , if so that part is good , if not you know the switch is bad . Then go to the right side and do the same and you should get a beep when the button is not pushed in and if you don't you know that circuit is bad
