Not sure how to troubleshoot sylinoid
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 1 year ago.

If you are getting a click then most likely it is the starter solenoid.

Can you check for voltage at the starter when you try to start the engine with the ignition key? Are you getting any voltage to the starter at all with the key turned to the start position?

Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 1 year ago.

What engine do you have on this machine? Is the solenoid mounted to the frame or the side of the starter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Briggs&Stratton

With a volt meter can you check for voltage at the starter when the key is turned to the start position? If you are not getting any then the solenoid is bad internally and not throwing power to the starter. If you are getting 12 VDC then the starter is either stuck or bad.

Thanks I tried your answer with no avail, so I took it to a shop, it was the ground wire that had vibrated loose, almost all the way off. But again thanks
