Twin cylinder Kohler engine?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Is it firing on both cylinders?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
both firing

So everything works with deck belt off the pto?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

And engine is running fine. And deck is free?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
All 3 blades turn freely. When i took belt off the pto it engaged like its supposed to. But when i removed deck my middle spindle has a little play up and down. It doesnt seem that little bit could stall the engine
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

If it were safety switch, it would not work with belt off. So engine can't handle the load.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I guess it cant. I was thinking battery so i charged it to 100% but still did same thing
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Good fuel flow to carb? Or just enough to run without load?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
engine runs perfect no skips never bogs and no smoke
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

So does it act like engine stalls? If so, it has to be electric clutch or deck.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If its clutch will it engage without the belt on? Also could it be adjusted
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Clutch will engiage with or without belt. It looks to be non-adjustable

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It engages with the belt on and off but when belt is on the blades kick on and then engine dies.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Could be a safety switch, and the ignition module has delay that kills engine after the blades start.
