I inherited a Brave 24 ton log splitter and when I put gas

Customer Question

Hello, I inherited a Brave 24 ton log splitter and when I put gas into it, the fuel leaked out of the carburetor. A friend said it was probably a stuck float (the tank was empty). I have been unable to find any directions on how to fix the float

Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

In order to repair the float or float valve problem you will need to remove the carburetor and take it apart. Inspect the float to make sure that is doesn't have fuel inside it, if it does then you will want to replace it. If there is no fuel inside the float then I would clean the carburetor really good and install a new carburetor repair kit. This should solve your problem.
