Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

What cable are you trying to install?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
John ,
It 's the cable on left hand side standing behind the handle . They call it a cable-brake , bbd cable .
The end of the cable fits into the handle . Their is the problem . Getting into the handle without
breaking off the part .

You want to rotate it to about a 90 degree angle to the handle and it should slip right in. It has a little tab on it that fits into a hole in the handle, rather than snapping it in.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
John ,
Tried the 90 degree . It won't side into place . Can I pry into place w/ a screw driver or will I end up break off the
barb at the bottom of part .
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Do you have a short video of this ? It would helpful .
Thanks,
Stephen

You would most likely end up breaking it.

Let me see if I have a video. Give me a moment.

Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 1 year ago.

I do not have any video available of this being replaced.

Can you send a picture of the end of you cable? I want to make sure that Toro hasn't changed it in any way.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Here are the photos... thanks

As you go to install that cable rotate the bottom end up toward the top of the handle. You should then be able to insert it into the hole in the handle and rotate it back down into position.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Rotated cable , doesn't seem to be enough clearance to get bottom piece in the track .
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 1 year ago.

The lower tab should slip into the slot there along the bottom of the handle as you rotate it back down into place.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
John ,
Just won' t go into place . Thanks for all the help .

I am sorry that I can't be of more assistance. I have never had that much trouble replacing those cables. I have worked in a Toro dealership for just over six years now and worked in the lawn equipment repair business for a total of twenty eight years. Normally that cable will slide right into place pretty easily.
