GT275 has only the coil to make the spark. I think you need a new coil!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Replaced the coil have spark and fuel will not fire
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Did you get it going? Have been on the honey do list. If it won't start, try putting fuel direct into the spark plug hole.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

If it fires, does the carburetor have electric solenoid in it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I sprayed starting fluid did not fire
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
If it will not fire on starting fluid, does it have compression, checked with finger with rag over the spark plug hole,To see if the compression is enough to move your finger? If it has compression, remove the valve cover and see if the valves are moving. If valves are ok, the timing key on the flywheel to crankshaft may have sheared.??
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Already checked the key great shape . Never checked compression yet
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

If it has compression, check the valves,

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It has great compression , I can take just the coil wire to a bolt and get a great spark . But when I put a plug on the wire and try to get spark through the plug I get nothing grounding in several places . I do not know how many safety switches are on this but I already have the seat switch jumped .
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
If you remove the kill wire from the coil, do you have spark when plug grounded? Did you ever pull the valve cover and check the valve movement?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Safety switch will not do this.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will try the kill wire next , never thought about that . That maybe why the thing just died and now will not start . The compression is very good and should fire with starting fluid .
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Just because it has compression does not mean the valves are working!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Still not running valve springs ok . Spark at coil wire but when I jump across end of plug nothing
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

I assume you tried another plug!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The carburetor does have a solenoid and yes new plug
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

So it will not start at the moment! And the solenoid in carburetor is opening?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hooked up to 12 volts and the solenoid did not do anything.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

So solenoid is dead! Remove it and cut the inner tip off,,re-install as a dummy.
