When you say new solenoid, are you referring to your starter solenoid, or your fuel shut off solenoid?

Remove the fuel hose from your carburetor. Let's make sure you are getting a steady and continuous flow of fuel, from your fuel tank, to your carburetor. If you are, then your carburetor still likely have a clogged jet or fuel port, although you have already rebuilt it.
