Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

In order to remove the engine pulley you will need to first remove mower deck belt from the electric clutch on the engine. Then you want to remove the electric clutch from the engine(Remember to unplug the wire leading from the clutch up to the equipment wiring). This is done by removing the single bolt in the center of the clutch assembly. Once this bolt has been removed the electric clutch can be removed by sliding if off of the engine crankshaft.

Once you have the clutch removed you can now remove the transmission drive belt from the engine sheeve pulley and then remove the pulley from the engine, sometimes you will have to use a pulley or gear pulley in order to remove this.

I hope that this information helps you.

how do i remove the big bolt in the center? i've turned the bolt both directions for a total of 45 minutes. it doesn't seem to budge
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 1 year ago.

It is a standard thread bolt, you will turn it to the left to remove it.

Do you have an impact wrench?

If not use a boxed end wrench on the bolt and hit the wrench with a hammer several times this jolt or impact from hitting it with a hammer will normally break the bolt loose then it can be removed.

there is an afixed washer on the sheeve. do i need to hold it while i turn the bolt?
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 1 year ago.

If you can get a wrench on it you could try to hold it while you turn the bolt.
