Replaced a battery in a JD LA130 Lawn Tractor. Connected positive first then negative. Lights went on when connecting negative. Tried to start and nothing, no lights, will start, dead. Checked 20A fuse and is fine. Any thoughts?

Why was battery changed? Same problem? Is battery connections correct, red to the posiitve post? Battery can come reversed !

Do you have a voltmeter or test light to check the voltage?

All safety switches correct? Seat, brake, pto?

Power for dash comes through the fuse, from the starter solenoid. So is fuse and fuse holder good? Is there voltage past the fuse holder?
