Leaking oil while running
Expert:  Hank F. replied 1 year ago.
Hello!
My name is ***** ***** I am going to assist you with this.
There are a couple of things that can cause an oil leak.
The most obvious is that a gasket has gone bad.
But in my experience, the most common cause of an oil leak on this unit is a cracked oil fill neck.
The only way to find the leak is to completely clean the genset, and then closely monitor it while running.
This often means having to pull the genset out to be able to access it all.
