Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
There is an electric solenoid in the base of the carburetor, it has to open as soon as key is turned on and has to stay open till key is turned off. It requires 12 volts. Do you hear it click as soon as you turn the key on? It plugs the main jet in the carburetor, and can be closing and killing the engine!

Got itPut the ignition key in and started it and it sounds like continuous backfire trough the carb
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Ok, did you take off the flywheel?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes but the key was ok and i took carb apart and it was ok and all clean and found that the spring on the choke was unhinged and fixed that but after putting carb on it still backfires and I wonder if the governor or the timing gap need to be checked so how do I verify the governor because it stays stuck when I put it in the closed position ?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
After reading the whole story again, I see no reference to the valves. Have you checked the valves for clearance? .004 to ,006 on both will do. Of valve clearance is ok, then you may have a valve that isn't seating, and needs to be repaired!
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Did this because they the clearance was to great and put them at .004 and it still backfires and it is still unresolved
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I in stalled a new carb and this resolved the issue,
