Did you try it with the small kill wire removed from the coil?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
The coil and magnet in the flywheel are all that makes the spark
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
If you have spark, the kill circuit is shorting out the coil.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes, kill wire loose, replaced plug boot for good measure, air gap .004

You are checking with spark plug grounded to the engine? and have tried a different plug?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes Sir, it is making no sense.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Magnet feel ok? Will spark show if you keep plug ungrounded?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Magnet strong, no spark grounded or not plug or in-line tester. Magnets were loose in old flywheel- even tried repairing magnets and replacing old flywheel and coil.

Can coil be upside down?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Tried it both ways to be sure- this is a magneto coil right? Just ground to kill spark?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Correct, coil and magnet!
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Is coil Honda coil or aftermarket?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Honda coil and flywheel
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
all you can do is try another coil!
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When you eliminate the normal things it time to try something else. I doubt we have two bad coils, but that was our next step!

I happens more than you think! I would try a differnt supplier.
