Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Yes, next to the fuses.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
2 small black boxes? no leds
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Ok, may not have them!
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
do you have 12 volts past the fuses?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes. 12 volts to the starter. some voltage thru the pto
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the black boxes might have leds in them, hard to tell
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
this seems like a safety switch problem. can i go around them all?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
No, is the seat switch and harness good? If seat switch is two wire, you can bypass, if four wire, no.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it's 2 wire. seems good, I can bypass. where else is there safeties?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Brake/neutral, and pto.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
if the safeties are bad would I get no lights or would it just not turn over
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Safety should not affect lights, that was why i wondered if you have voltage to the ignition.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes I do. I'm not sure how much. What should it be? There are 2 red wires and a white. Should the power be coming in by 1 red and out the other?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
power wire is the red wire coming from the positive side of the starter solenoid.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Switch wire will not be red to the solenoids switch post.

so I just checked the key assembly-ignition switch-11.4 volts on 1 red-0 on other. then I turn the key on and it's .64 volts on both sides.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
You say battery and cablesare ok?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes. battery is just under 12 volts. cable from battery to starter is 11.6 volts. when I turn the key on the voltage drops to .64 volts going into the ignition switch. It's at 11+ before I turn the key on.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Battery is too low for start! Try charging the battery!
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
even tho the meter says almost 12 volt?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Battery needs to be minimum of 12.5 volts.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i'll try it.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
What does battery show when key is turned to start?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
.64 volts
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
11.4 before I turn the key-.64 after
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Dead battery!
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Yes, you just have surface voltage
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
