Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! All I see on the mower is the throttle control on top. I know Deere puts a foot pedal for gas, but if it moves with the f/r pedal, it has lost the spring that keeps it up. Looking at the parts book online, it does not even show the pedal, that I can find! But it has to be a return spring broken or off.

I was hoping for more then that. I already knew that. Where is the spring and how do I fix it.

spring is a torsion spring, between the two pedals. GX24201

What two pedals. There's only one. This is a D105 17.5 hp 42in cut lawn tractor. The brake pedal is on the other side of it and isn't connected to the gas pedal.
