Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! Do you have a voltmeter to check the battery voltage when the pto is on? If voltage is dropping below 12 volts, the clutch will drop out! Any starting problems? Cub Cadet uses a pto relay, between the switch and the clutch to carry the voltage to the clutch.

it is brand new
seems to be a heat problem
pto runs ok for about 1/2 hrs and then starts cutting out
if I let it cool off it will run
cooler it is longer it runs

If it's new, I would let dealer work on it , as it may be a bad clutch, an at $300 + dollars, not something you want to buy!

Got it from tractor supply
Need it to work NOW
Any suggestions

Try a better battery with more CCA, battery should be minimum of 350 CCA.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
you don't think it is a heat problem
