hi I have a stiga park pro 16 I replaced when trying to start a clicking sound from solenoid only so replaced solenoid battery reads 12.5 v still just clicks when turning key

tried jumping from CAR BATTERY STILL JUST CLICKS FROM NEW SOLEOID CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS FROM SOLENOID GETTING 12VOLTS BUT SEAMS AROUND 5-6 VOLTS FROM STARTER ? BUT MAYBE NOT TESTING CORRECTLY RED LEAD ON STARTER ONE LEAD ON EATH

FROM BATTERY 12.5 VOLTS TO SOLENIOD 12V WHEN TURNING KEY JUST CLICKING SOUND HAVE REPLACED SOLENIOD STILL THE SAME ALL CONNECTIONS TIGHT FUSES CHECKED OK

The most likely cause is that there is a loose wire somewhere. It could be at the battery or at the ground. You also could have corrosion at any one of the connections.
DO NOT jump start the mower from a car if the car is running. THis will damage the charging system of the mower.
When you get lower voltage at the starter this means that you either have a loose or bad connection or you have a bad battery. Even though the battery tests at 12 Volts, it may not have enough cranking amps to start the engine.
