Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! Is oil level over full? Is the oil thinned from gas contamination? Does it smell of fuel? Oil out the fuel pump vent is usually oil problem. Are you using 10W30 oil?

the oil level is fine just changed it and filter put new fuel pump on. Engine does not seem to be missing and do not smell any fuel in the oil. checked the crank cas vent and it only had a flapper in it but cleaned it also. Engine does not spit oil when first started will do it after about 10mins of running and will occasionaly get a whit puff of smoke on hill side when mowing

Is the crankcase vent open that goes into the air intake , just before the carburetor? If the vent is restricted from collapsed hose , the crankcase pressure will increase and has to go somewhere, so it comes out the fuel pump vent.
