I just installed a new motor and replaced the solenoid. started right up after running it

Customer Question

I just installed a new motor and replaced the solenoid. started right up after running it abit, the hot wire insulation was burning off. I quickly cut the motor and disconnected the battery. the long hot red wire burned the coating and thankfully didn't burn the red wire running thru the mower. I can jump the solenoid and it starts right up. I cant get the solenoid to start the mower.

Hello, sounds like you have the lead from the stator connected wrong. Any chance you can snap a few pictures for me?
