This has a briggs engine with auto choke right ?
Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 1 year ago.
Ok it looks like it has the kohler engine , is it a to choke or manual choke ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Auto choke.

Expert:  Briggs-Fan replied 1 year ago.
Ok , all the research I'm doing shows kohler as the motor , but my suspicion is the auto choke is the issue because when a engine loses compression it will die while running , and you said it will stay running until it cuts off so it's not like the coil o's heating up and losing spark or it will die while running. Can you see after it warms up when you go to restart it if the choke is open or closed ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I will have to find choke and run to operating ,stop and investigate.

Will site stay open?

How do I get back to it?

Tks

You can continuously reply to this and it will notify me . With the briggs it has a temperature sensor that goes on with the muffler that opens the choke up. , if that went bad than it could be applying choke when trying to restart it hot , or applying choke when it's not needed. I would run it till its warm , shut it off and when you restart it look to see if it's applying choke or not , if it is open the butterfly by hand and have someone pull it etc
