Starter rope keeps kicking back when trying to start chainsaw. It pulls fine with spark plug removed. It is not flooded

Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to just answer. there are a few things it could be , first I would check the timing key in the flywheel to make sure it's not sheared

It is not sheared. Any other suggestions?

Was the coil changed recently ? , also what is the make and model of the saw ? . Did you remove the flywheel and check the key ?. Sometimes they have a compression release that can go bad

Chainsaw is only 2 years old and only been used twice. Model is p3314, 33cc, 14 inch blade

Try removing the spark plug and putting a teaspoon of oil in the cylinder
