Hi . Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer.

the learn button is located on the motor unit (the piece that pulls the door open & closed). On my unit the button isn't actually on the back, it's under the plastic light housing on the left hand side (as you face toward the motor with your back to the door). You have to push in the two detents on the plastic housing, swing the cover down & - at least on mine - there is a square purple button that you push in. A small light will come on next to the button, at that point you can go enter your code & push the enter key & hold in until the motor unit blinks.

OK, THATS ON THE UNIT ITSELF. HOW ABOUT THE SECUTIRY PAD LOCATED OUTSIDE THE GARAGE?

On the back of your motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find a button. Press and immediately release this button and then walk over to your keypad and enter the new 4 digit code you want and press enter. Should do it.
